My job as an Assistant Manager for a Plantation entails me overseeing a lot of different types of work be it manual labour, tractors or heavy machinery.
There are A LOT of manual forms and books that have been used to keep track of these operations for decades.
Why i hate using manual forms
- Books seem to ‘disappear’ when an audit comes
- A lot of manual writing needed for the staff in charge. (when you have like 10 books to update)
- I only see the books after 2-3 days of writing. This renders the data useless for operations, as has already happens. I cannot adjust a certain operational parameter since its 2 days old data. Meaning if there is an incorrect input, i just wasted 2-3 days of money due to losses.
Then i found Notion Forms!!
Ive been converting these manual forms into digital forms with live databases.
Say goodbye to that 3 day delay.. Say hello to live 1 minute productivity monitoring.
One of the biggest things notion forms have done with me, is that i can monitor all the work and inputs my staff are currently doing. If there is an error or incorrect input, I can intervene immediately.
Below is an example for Fertilizer Input
Below is the corresponding database that is immediately updated
Once all the data is compiled, I can start doing the analysis and fertilizer tracking so I can make sure that all fields have received the correct amount of Fertilizer. I usually export the data as an excel sheet for further data analysis.
This is just for only ONE application, and literally thousands of more application that I can use Notion Forms. Its just a matter of time and imagination.
